Saluting Oklahoma's Local Education Foundations

Gov. Brad Henry has designated the week of Oct. 23 through 29 as Local Education Foundation Week in Oklahoma. As part of the celebration, and to mark its 20th anniversary of recognizing and encouraging academic excellence in public schools, the Oklahoma Foundation for Excellence is conducting a statewide media campaign to recognize Oklahoma’s 192 local education foundations (LEFs).

Our campaign, “Saluting Oklahoma’s Local Education Foundations,” celebrates the achievements of foundations throughout the state and encourages public support for the work LEFs are doing on behalf of public education. Highlights from our “Saluting LEFs” campaign are featured here, including a special message from OFE founder and chairman David L. Boren.

We salute Oklahoma’s local education foundations and are grateful for all they are doing to help Oklahoma students meet their fullest academic potential.
