Register Your Mentoring Program
The Oklahoma Foundation for Excellence is compiling a statewide directory of mentoring programs to be listed on its Web site at www.okmentors.org. The directory is a component of the David and Molly Boren Mentoring Initiative, which promotes the growth and development of school-based mentoring programs in Oklahoma. By registering your program, you will help us identify and promote existing mentoring programs as a service to schools, communities, and families across the state.
Programs placed in the directory are programs that pair volunteer mentors with students in a one-on-one mentoring relationship. OFE looks for safe programs that train their mentors and encourage long-term, consistent mentoring relationships. While the David and Molly Boren Mentoring Initiative promotes school-based mentoring, community-based programs are invited to register and will be identified as such in the directory.
