Education Foundations Encouraged to Register Online With Oklahoma Foundation for Excellence

Register by Aug. 1 to Qualify for Free Admissions to the Fall Forum

June 22, 2006
OKLAHOMA CITY
-- Local education foundations throughout Oklahoma are encouraged to register their organizations for 2006-07 with the Oklahoma Foundation for Excellence Local Education Foundation Outreach Program. Foundations can register their programs through a brief online registration form/survey posted at www.ofe.org.

Foundations that register by Aug. 1 will qualify to participate in a drawing for four free admissions, valued at $200, to the Fall Forum for Local Education Foundations, scheduled for Oct. 24 on the University of Oklahoma Norman campus.

LEFs can use the free online registration form to update their contact information with the Foundation for Excellence and to share information on grants and programs for 2005-06.

Charlotte Jones, director of Local Education Foundation Outreach, said data from the online registration form will help the Oklahoma Foundation for Excellence measure the economic impact that local education foundations have statewide.

Your survey responses also help us recognize and celebrate local education foundations for their outstanding contributions to the quality of education throughout Oklahoma,” she said.

Jones said updating information online also helps the Foundation for Excellence communicate regularly with LEF leaders through newsletters, e-news updates and invitations to the Fall Forum and other networking opportunities. “LEFs’ responses also help us evaluate our services to find out what is most helpful and learn how we can serve them better,” Jones said.
