A Keys High School class valedictorian, Copeland serves as treasurer and secretary of National Honor Society and is a member of the National Indian Honor Society. She is vice president of Mu Alpha Theta Math Honor Society and captain of her school academic team. Copeland was nominated to attend the Congress of Future Medical Leaders and was a 4-H Grand Prize winner at the Tulsa State Fair. She earned a Degree of Excellence designation in Speech and Debate and participates in mission trips. Copeland plans to study pharmacy at Southwestern Oklahoma State University.
