Ray Parkhurst
Sayre High School
Co-captain of the Sayre High School academic team, Parkhurst is a member of the runner-up All-State Academic Team. He is a member of the Advanced Art Program, awarded first place in Sculpture and Pottery at the Augusta Metcalfe Museum art show and recipient of two Honorable Mention awards at the Oklahoma State Fair Art Show. Parkhurst is Herald Trumpet for the Pride of Sayre Marching Band, and trumpet section leader for the concert band. He enjoys theater, participating in school and Red Carpet Community Theater plays. Parkhurst plans to attend the University of Central Oklahoma to study funeral service. Scholarship sponsor: First National Bank & Trust of Elk City
