SONIC Tutor TotsBryan Haas, a senior manager for project implementation at SONIC Corp, has been named the outstanding mentor for SONIC’s Tutor Tots mentoring program.
Bryan has volunteered for more than four years at Wilson Arts Integration School, helping students improve literacy and reading comprehension. He is one of 48 Wilson mentors from SONIC, which also provides Wilson with financial assistance for field trips, yearbook, running club, PTA events and special school projects. SONIC also hosts a holiday party for the entire school and an end-of-year party for mentees, who are bused to SONIC’s headquarters for a special lunch with their tutors.
“Bryan is truly one of the nicest young men I know, and he’s a wonderful role model for the young lads he has tutored at Wilson,” said Becky Rickard, SONIC’s manager of community affairs.
“He is dedicated to his student and is there every week to work with his “Tot” (we call our kids Tutor Tots) on not just learning issues but also by serving as a great role model,” Becky added. “I just can’t say enough nice things about Bryan. He’s SuperSONIC and Worth A Mint to us!”
