Derrick Sier, owner of One Mind One Spirit (OMOS) Team Building, was selected for the outstanding mentor recognition by the Metro Career Academy, a program of Metro Technology Center in Oklahoma City.

Metro Career Academy serves students ages 15 years and older who face barriers toward achieving a high school diploma and career training. The program provides personalized instruction, mentoring, parenting resources and community partnerships to help students succeed.

“Derrick has been a mentor at Metro Career Academy for the past three years organizing educational programs, workshops and forums for the students,” said Khanita Jefferson, mentorship coordinator for Metro Career Academy.

“Mr. Sier’s energy is boundless and his enthusiasm is infectious,” Jefferson said. “His passion and ministry has been to work with young men at risk of destructive behaviors that limit their personal desires. He has successfully encouraged our young men to take up the challenge to serve others through his strong commitment to service.”
