“Peck Loy has been a dedicated volunteer with Positive Tomorrows for over 10 years. She has spent countless hours reading to students, helping during the holidays and serving in her favorite capacity as a Wednesday Afternoon Tutor and Mentor every week.
"Peck has worked with so many students and impacted so many lives in her time here. While she looks forward to tutoring each week – often planning vacations and trips around Wednesday afternoons, it means even more to the student about whom she cares.”
“I love the relationship you form with a child that really needs it. This year I saw my student transform from a quiet, shy second-grader who wouldn’t even look you in the eye, into a lively and confident third-grader who was succeeding in school.
You see what your time really does and how it changes these students. You just end up loving the child you tutor. It means everything to me, and somehow I always get back much more than I could ever put in.”
