Aubrey Atkins

Putnam City High School

Atkins is an Oklahoma State Regents Academic Scholar and class valedictorian. She has played clarinet for the Putnam City Band for four years, serving three years as Drum Major and two as principal clarinet. She is a five-year member of the Central Oklahoma Directors Association Honor Band. Atkins also serves as senior class secretary and president of National Honor Society. She has received the Oklahoma State Regents’ Academic Scholars Award and the Oklahoma Academic Scholars Institutional Nominee Award. She enjoys thrifting clothes and reading in her spare time. Atkins plans to pursue a degree in nursing at the University of Oklahoma.

Cora McKinney

Putnam City North High School

McKinney is an Advanced Placement Scholar and has been recognized for academic excellence in multiple English classes. She was junior officer for her school’s National Honor Society her junior year, and elected president her senior year. McKinney has been a football and baseball trainer throughout her four years of high school. She has been active in all orchestras within her school, being a section leader her senior year as well. McKinney plans to attend Southeastern Oklahoma State University to study fisheries and wildlife science, with the intention of becoming a wildlife biologist.

Luis Rivera-González

Putnam City West High School

Rivera-González is a class valedictorian and National Hispanic Scholar. He serves as president of his senior class, National Honor Society and OSU-OKC Upward Bound. He also served as chairman of the Putnam City School Culture/Climate & Student Access/Success Committee. He was the Varsity Orchestra First Chair Violinist and Varsity Tennis Singles 1 player, earning a four-time Letterman award. Rivera-Gonzalez was awarded the Award of Excellence from the University of Oklahoma, where he will study political science and pre-law.
